What is sustainable forestry and how does it benifit us? =D?

Managed woodland. Benefits - good habitat for flora and fauna, timber produced can be used for heating, building materials, fencing etc.creates employment. It is sustainable because new young trees can be planted annually to replace the trees that are harvested. Of course this does take a considerable time to establish because of the growth rates of different species of trees.In this country hazel, ash, oak, elm, apple etc have traditionally had specific uses.
